Welcome to Castlebridge Show website

 2020  Show is cancelled:

Picture
We are very sad to announce that our 2020 Castlebridge Show (which was due to be held on Sunday, 9th August, 2020) has now been cancelled.

This should have been Castlebridge's 80th annual Horticultural, Agricultural and Home Industry Show - a milestone in the history of the Parish, an exhibition of the finest produce and crafts from the County and beyond, and a great family day out.  However, in these unprecedented times of the global Covid-19 pandemic, our utmost priority is the health and well-being of our exhibitors, visitors, judges, sponsors, organisers, voluntary workers and everyone involved in any way with the running of the Show.

Our message to all our supporters:  please stay safe and well.  Castlebridge Show will be back again in 2021.  So, we look forward to seeing you all at our 80th Castlebridge Show on Sunday, 8th August, 2021, DV.

The Show Committee wishes to thank   all the Show judges, exhibitors, sponsors, visitors, organisers, voluntary workers and supporters for their loyal and unstinting support of the Show over the years.

Castlebridge Show Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people working on the front-line in the current health crisis, including the people working in the grocery and agri-food sectors.

Many of our sponsors have had their businesses impacted severely by the Covid-19 crisis and, so, the Show Committee is urging everyone to support local businesses, particularly at this time.

Other News:

Thank you to everyone who attended our Gardening Forum held in Castlebridge Community Centre on Friday, 8th November, 2019 at 7.30 pm.  A most enjoyable evening was had by all present - with tips and myths and shared stories about growing vegetables, flowers, fruit, etc. The informal panel of speakers included Mick Redmond, Dave Hart, Trevor Stevenson, Morgan Conroy, Stephen Kenneally and the session was chaired by Jimmy Nolan.  All agreed that another such evening should be arranged before next Show Day.
Morgan Conroy provided the following handout on his gardening tips - click below to view:

Remember our 2015 Show!   We think it was one of our most successful yet - and because it was our 75th anniversary we went back in time and dressed in 1940s style clothes.  The 1940s was our theme for 2015,  Thank you to everyone who joined with us on the day - our judges, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and everyone who came along to our Show or who helped us in any way on the the day or in the lead up to it.
Here is a flavour of the day!
