CHAIRMAN’S WELCOME

7
A Chairde,
It's this time of the year again and so on behalf of Castlebridge Show Committee and myself I would like to extend a huge Cead Mile Failte to one and all, in this our 77th year. The success of the Show is due in no small way to your tremendous and unfailing support, shown to us down through the years of which we are very supportive.
The show is a celebration of community and friendship, it embraces all things traditional. The main exhibition hall is a tribute to everyone who continues to sow and reap their vegetables, fruit and flowers. The home-baking provides a fine platform for a delicious array of breads, cakes and jams. The craft section reaches out to the talented and creative in our community and beyond. The more traditional agricultural produce such as oats, barley, etc. are also on display. I must not forget to mention our photography section which brings us into the present era of high tech living.
Show day is also a family day out, with all the usual attractions, children's entertainment, pets corner, bottle stall, tea tent, fancy dress parade, etc. and not forgetting our dog show - one of the highlights of our show.
With all this in mind, I am confident that this year's show will be as enjoyable as in previous years, and so without further ado, I would like to thank the committee, our judges, our sponsors, and last but not least our army of dedicated volunteers who come along each year, without whom the show would not go on.
