CONDITIONS OF ENTRY & RULES

1.    Exhibits must be grown or made by the exhibitor (unless otherwise stated).
2.    Entries to the National School Section must be completed at school.

3.    All exhibits MUST be in by 10.30am on Show Day; exhibits may also be left in          the exhibition hall on the previous night between 7.00pm and 9.00pm.
4.    No exhibit will be removed from the Exhibition Hall before 5pm, whether sold          or given away.

5.    Winners may collect their cups and trophies between 5pm and 6pm on Show          Day.  Other prizes will be sent out by post at a later date.
6.    The Committee will not be responsible for any loss, accident or damage to              any exhibit while at the Show or in transit to or therefrom.
7.    All entries are accepted at owner's risk: no claim for compensation arising out          of the Show will be entertained by the Committee: neither will they be liable for
       any accident to exhibitor, his or her servant or any spectator present.
8.    Prizes in the Castlebridge National School Section will be presented in the              school at the beginning of the following school year. Medals awarded in the                  Junior Section can be collected between 3.00pm and 4.00pm on Show Day.
9.    Perpetual cups and trophies cannot be won out. In case of a competitor winning
       a perpetual trophy three years running or four years in all a certificate will be                  awarded to the winner - rule effective from 1996. Perpetual cups and
       trophies must be returned to the Treasurer four weeks prior to Show Day.
       The winner of cup/trophy shall be responsible to the Committee for its safe
       return.
10.  The Committee reserve the right to refuse entry, or to postpone or abandon
       the Show.
11.  Should there be less than three entries in any one class, prizes shall be given        at the judge's discretion.

12.  Any prize may be withheld for want of merit.
13.  To determine the highest aggregate marks in any section, the following scale
       of marks shall be used: 1st Prize,3 points; 2nd Prize, 2 points; Collection of
       Vegetables. 1st Prize, 5 points, 2nd Prize, 3 points.
14.  The value of prizes, except where stated otherwise will be 1st Prize - €5;
       2nd Prize - €3.
15.  Entry fees, except where stated otherwise, will be €1.00 for adults; nil for
       children in junior and schools classes.
16.  The Judges' decision will be final.
17.  Objections to any exhibit must be in writing and must be lodged with the
       Show Secretary on Show Day, stating objector's name.
18.  Where dish/plate is specified, any dish or plate or suitable container is                             acceptable.
