Green-Schools is a themed and seven-step programme which the schools work on to obtain each flag and each successive flag is awarded through building on previous work caried out and by starting niw initiatives in line with the particular theme beingworked on at the time. It usually takes two years to achieve each flag. A committee is set up which may have among its members students, school staff, Parents Council representatives, Borad of Management representatives, parents and interested parties from the school community. The focus however is on student participation. The committee then works on the tasks involved. The themes we have been awarded flags for are:"Litter and Waste" and the latest one "Water". We are very proud to be part of this environmental and educational programme.
